Sources
Sources
Sinaloa.com draws on sources to support the information it publishes, and aims to make it possible to see where that information comes from, when applicable.
Types of sources
The project may draw on different kinds of sources, including:
- government datasets and publications
- books
- academic articles
- archival materials
- news or editorial publications
- interviews
- maps
- websites
Official sources and other references
Official or statistical sources — such as government catalogs or datasets — tend to be useful for geographic or statistical facts. Historical, academic, archival or editorial materials provide additional context. Using a source does not imply a relationship, endorsement or partnership with the institution or organization that published it, and the type of source alone does not determine its reliability.
Sources on individual pages
When a content page has supporting sources associated with it, those references may be displayed on that page, generally with identifying information and an external link when available.
